RTE A-Arm Installation?

Actually more of a how the hell do I get one of the original bolts out of the axle mount question. The RTE extension is still sitting patiently on my garage floor.

Got one bolt out without an issue, removed the nut on the second bolt, again no problem.

This bolt is frozen inside the axle mount, both arms rotate freely. I really love the Midwestern salt the shit out of the roads in winter, and right now I really love it. 11years of salt and corrosion have ruined my evening.

I've tried the penetrating oil, no luck, I've beat on it a bit with a hammer, only mushroomed the threaded end of the bolt. I'm giving heat a shot in the morning. I'm tired of f'n with it tonite. Any advice, tips, or idea will be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Mine did that, in California so it's not the salt. I fixed it with a 12lb sledge, 22 whacks and it popped right out.

We had to use a sawzall on the bolts with a friends range rover.
We ran into a problem where either the bolt or the sleeve was warped, and it just wasn't coming out by traditional means. :)

Sometimes you can beat them out with a hammer, on some I've used an air hammer and a hammer at the same time - trickey but possible, and some just need to be cut out. On my own truck I ended up needing to get a new ball joint (old one was very loose) and a new ball joint housing (bolts were frozen solid in it. I also had to remove one (right side) of the A-arms and drill it out - - a bit tricky because of the angle (I have new used a-arms in the floor yet to be installed after oblong drilling was completed). It was a real PIA but red trucks are special like that. I put it all back together with lots of anti-sieze. All in all cost me my religion, some blood, and about 4 hours.
Best of luck
