putting a new thermostat in the RRC while I'm doing the head gaskets since the intake is on the bench. The new thermostat has the little hole and plastic jiggly thing and I know that its supposed to be installed in a certain direction but i can't remember what that is. I think its supposed to go at the top, just looking for confirmation.

Just realized what you meant. The jiggle pin goes up at the 12 o'clock position according to the factory manual.
Now it is a good time to install a real temp gauge too. Can drill & tap an extra spot for a new sensor to keep the original one too.
