I drive my 1990 RRC the most, it's my favorite of all the land rovers I've ever had.

I used my 1985 RRC as a daily driver for about seven years 75k miles. Currently, my daily driver is a 1991 that I picked up for $650 last fall. I've put 11k on it since then and aside from oil changes and routine maintenance I haven't had to do anything but put gas in it. My total outlay has been less than $1000 in the ten months the truck has been on the road. That goes a long way towards making the lousy mileage (12-13 mpg) tolerable!

I'll only say this because the truck is out of earshot but I think this one is the best of all the Rovers I've owned over the last 16 years!

Well, I take public transportation to work every day, but the 90RRC gets driven weekly at least. If it weren't for the slowly dying tranny I would be totally confident in its ability to drive every day.

(Hey Paul, got a decent tranny hanging around for cheap I can pick up sometime?)

OK. As far as a daily driver goes, it would be similar to a D1, IMO. I have not spent a lot of time in a P38, so I cannot offer a comparison.

I have a 93 LWB. I do not drive it daily yet, but it gets all the driving that I do. In snow, it is my opinion that the BW xfer case and added wheel base make it unbeatable in snow.

Comfort wise, I would say that my 93 is just as comfortable as my D1. Maybe slightly better.
