Republic/Springfield Mo. area this Tue, Wed

Going to be in the Republic/Springfield Mo. area this Tuesday, Wednesday (7/13 ?14) and want to do some trail runs. My mother-in-law (87 yrs young) will be in the Disco so I?ll have to keep it fairly mild. I was planning on heading over to SMORR and running the easy trails, but it looks like they are only open weekends. Any suggestions on trails in the Mark Twain forest area. Also if any one wants to join up let me know.

Back in the day we would just run down any fire trail or power line trail we could find. But I have been told you cant do that any more.
With the open trails you didnt know what you were going to find it was an adventure.

I find the off road parks boaring.

Flat Nasty is about an 1.5hr east and Disney OK is about 2hr west.
