I can't open the hood of my D1. Pull the hood cable thingy and nothing happens. Was told I need to replace the cable. Anyone know if this is difficult to replace or a DIY thing?
Thanks in advance.

I have replaced the cable on my D2 twice, it is pretty easy to do, just a pain to route the cable too the hood release itself behind the grill. If i took the grill out it is pretty eassy also dont know what kind of bumper you have to reach up there, I have and RTE so i can just reach up behind it. Otherwise besides access and area you are working in it is pretty easy, just remember where the old one came out and put the new one in the same place.

Grasp the the hood and keep a slight upward pressure while a helper pulls the hood release from in the truck , The hood should open. The cable can be adjusted , You need to remove the grille in order to access the cable bracket, Now you can loosen the nut on the cable and incr/ decr the slack.
