Removing Side Molding from DII

Has anyone removed the side molding from their DII? I guess all it does is protect your car door from other car doors. How does it look off? I see many discos without this plastic strip. Here is a pic to show you what I'm talking about.

Lucky! I live in Georgia and the forecast was flurries this morning. First anticipated snow all winter... But it didn't even happen. Damn weather man!

Ive been thinking of taking the molding off and getting the lowers Line-Xed. Like this Photoshopped, but not so shiny..

Thanks for posting a pic of my rig at the top! :D :D

I have seen both, and think the Line-X(or whatever brand) looks fine WITH the moulding in place. If you remove it, you will have a thick line where the Line-X stops. On a dark colored vehicle it might not be as noticeable, but on my white truck, I'd prefer to have it tuck right up to the moulding.

i personaly like that plastic side moulding i would add it to my truck if i had some spare money to burn on it and didnt want anything else. But i dont like the ones with the chrome inserts.

And good point about keeping the molding if I Line-X. The molding would make a good transistion. thanks!
