You guys have saved my life a couple times on this forum. I wonder if someone can come to the rescue again.

My 2000 Disco 2 is being stripped and rust proof and painted. However i have 2 issues. I can't figure out how to remove the back seats ( the ones behind the driver). I removed the bolts to the front i gather there are bolts behind the seats, but i can't see them or get at them.

Can someone take a picture to show me how to access them please? Does it involved carpet removal? If so, how do i do that without tearing it up?

Secondly, in all this fuss the same back seats on side are now stuck in the down position and won't return to an upright stance. This is the one with the centre seat attached.
What could be causing this? My head is hurting.

Have you tried pulling on the release cord at the rear of the seat that allows the seat to fold forward?

Fold back down then pull seat up and forward. You should see all the bolts there. The plates are sprung so bolts are easy to get out but a bit of a sod to get back in. Simple procedure

The pull cord not working on my seats I don't think. I can't get them to fold up and forward. Anyway to manually do this?
