I'm not feeling it as far as looks, but that's the same guy who partnered with Rovertracks to build the tubular bumper that got everybodies panties in a wad, but turned out to be a very good bumper and well worth the price.

Sure it's a prototype, but it looks like it does fit on a truck, so you're not really a guinea pig. It's been mounted and has the flat plate instead of diamond tread, hence the free shipping. I'd say if you like the looks and are okay with the price, buy it. It's going to be a much better bumper than any other aftermarket D1 bumper with the exception of the RTE.

I like it

lite, simple , affordable

mated with a pre-runner fron bumper and a really simple build it would make for a cool desert runner Disco

I like it too. I think it's good to have an option of a bumper that actually helps shorten the rear overhang. Partner it with a "prerunner" style front and I think it could look pretty good.

I kind of like it and the price seems good too compared to others I've seen. Not sure it would look good on my Rover though. I don't have any other tube on it so It would kind of look out of place.

The guy who builds it is Sam, he just made me a full custom front winch bumper while my 98 D1 was in Las Vegas for a few day and it totally Rocks!!! The guy is total customer service with great skills. i just might be the test subject for this bumper....

Huh? You mean you think that is better than Rockware? No f'ing way.

It doesn't cover everything that was meant t be covered on the disco, so it looks odd to me. Not sure if I would trust the quarter panel protection coming off a ledge or going up a steep one, just does not look like it will take the weight of a vehicle.

Ask him to post a picture with it on a highlift with the highlift placed near the wheel well.

You get what you pay for.

I've seen the Rockware and was very unimpressed, infact I feel the same way about most of their parts. It does need a suport running from the 1/4 panel to the frame, but aside from that what's wrong? Remember "looks weak" and "is weak" are 2 different things.
