So my cassette tape is stuck and I can't get the tape out.

If i buy a used disco II radio from a junk yard is the radio code associated with the radio itself
or the vehicle?

I have my original code for the current radio but was wondering what happens when i install the new radio?

thanks

For all practical purposes, you'd be better off with an aftermarket radio. If you want to keep the appearance, you'll need a head unit with the code specific to it.

My 03 D2 radio/cassette player does not need a code. But it can take a few minutes to turn on after being unhooked from power for a while.

On the radio you are looking at getting, do you have an opportunity first to hook it up to a battery and see if it will turn on without a code?

The radio itself works fine but the cassette will not eject and I keep getting a no tape message. I use the tape as an adapter for my Sirius radio adapter.

Would there be another way to connect to the radio without using the tape cassette adapter? I remember seeing some type of adapter that plugs into the back of the radio but can't remember.
