where i'm at right now, duh...
I've been running Rovertyms 3" suspension lift for several years now and I've got a quick question about the adjusted front arms.

I noticed the front output shaft of the tcase has some up/down/side to side play. I also noticed that the DC shaft isn't in line with the pinion like it should be. The pinion is at 12.5* and the shaft is at 16* So it's almost within that 3* range, but not quite where it should be.

I know the LT230 has it's fair share of play, but I'm going to replace the bearing anyways. (it's only $28 so why not...) Could the driveshaft angle be the cause of this slop over time? Are the offset radius arms made to give you a "close enough" pinion/driveline angle?

I'm just wondering if this small offest in pinion angle will have a detrimental affect on the diff, driveshaft, and t-case.

I know the tcase isn't causing the angle to change, but I am worried that the driveline and pinion being off from each other is the reason why the output shaft is sloppy.

I know the corrected arms are suppose to help with castor, but what about the pinion angle? Since I can't make adjustments do I just live with it even though I know it's causing wear on the DS, diff, and tcase?

I had 96k before my output bearing in the front took a dump. Followed by the rear 5K later. Kinda cool since I planed for it & had the parts in hand. Napa is your friend here......

didn't you read the thread on expedition portal? get some pinion corrected arms and have your balls drilled.
YUP!

yeah, that would fix the pinion angle, but I'd still need to get the castor corrected swivel balls.

There be some work if you go toy in the front & castor correct with a 3 link
Not impossible but takes some doin

even with the three link you still need to correct caster and then when you do that you will need to adapt the three link because the tie rod wont go through the "track rod protector"

like Peter said

i just think there is nothing wrong with the LR suspension. I have 12" shocks on my truck and get ever last inch out of that shaft. If the stock setup is setup correctly there need for a 3 link. Because of the offroad miles I put on my truck I'll stick with reliability.
