Sweet, Mike. I ended up getting the Samsung that I mentioned and it's pretty awesome. One thing I haven't figured out, though: for some reason, the color and lighting on TV shows doesn't look right. Shows like Breaking Bad look like they were shot with broadcast TV cameras, like you would see on a local newscast or a game show. The picture is phenomenally clear but it doesn't look right. It doesn't have that movie-like quality that I'm used to with the old CRT. Is it because of the high HD resolution? The default picture settings? Anybody figure this out?

BTW, that Redeye remote control is no good. Way too time-consuming to program and the latency between key press and action is way too long.

Chris, it's funny that you mention Breaking Bad. That was the first thing I watched on blu-ray on the plasma. All I can say is that the whole experience was like taking the tv experience to a new level. Even watching it streaming on Amazon Instant, the picture was wonderful.

I'll see what it looks like on the Sony next week.

Where do you stand HD wise? HDMI, Channel lineup?
