Regarding anyone else who has been screwed by John Miller:
Last January, I purchased a front passenger door for my DII from our "supposed friend" John Miller. He charged me a fair price of $275 shipped. Weeks went on, and so did his bullshit excuses. He was apparently in California for 2 months where I guess they dont have cell phones because his wasnt working. I left repeated messages at his shop for him. Usually when you run a business, and youre gone for 2 months, you'd probabaly check in from time to time I'm guessing, especially if your cell phone doesnt work. So I decided to take him on with a different approach.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau of North Carolina, and that really pissed him off. Still, no door. Not until I went to the bank and filed a claim against him stating a fraudulent charge on my debit card did he come up with something useful to say. All of a sudden, my door had been damaged during shipping, was returned to his warehouse, and stuck in a corner. Thats where he said he found it. So in the end, 5 months later, I received a door delivered to my house. To get results, you have to threaten him and treat him like a child, because threats are the only way to get through to an irresponsible person. He is highly unprofessional, rude, and an all around poor excuse for a human being. If he had a part that I desperatly needed for my Land Rover, and he was the only source for this part, I would sell my truck before doing business with him again.
So in conclusion, I strongly advise you all to stay away from him. Ive heard that this is his 2nd or 3rd attempt at a Rover parts distribution project under a different name. I wonder why??
