p38 window regulator replacement

front LH window regulator crapped out the other day. I pulled the door card off and found the main pivot on the sector gear to arm spot welds failed. so I taped the window up and have been driving around with it loud and drafty and pretend I am in a series truck with a big ol' smile on my face. I have the new regulator in hand to change out tomorow, anyone have any tips or advice.
i gather its pull the retainers and rotate the window to remove the glass, drill out old regulator install motor in new one and rivet it back in place then wiggle the glass back into place. is that all there is to it?

you don't have to rivet it back in...you can bolt it in IIRC

I allways bolted them back on, the riveting is a pita. all else you have it covered.

redo the wields and bolt back in place.

Bolts work fine, watch your skin when wrestling with the mechanism, the metal edges are razor sharp, and double check the rubber strip does not get trapped ( adjacent to side mirror) when reinstalling, otherwise the window will not work properly even with a new regulator, ( been there done that )
