P38 Range Rover 4.0 BECM

I have a brand new BECM for the Range Rover SE. I believe this will fit the 4.0 and 4.6

Brand new, OEM. $300.

Will it fit a 4.0 DII and if it does will you be open to offers.

Whay are you selling it ?

Looking at Atlantic British's website it seems it only fits a P38. But yes all offers considered, except anything from Garrett or Chapman.

Yes and no.

Testbook will make it work. It does not take much time to set the codes, but I bet you'd still pay for 1-hour of computer time.

the guy I bought the rover from and the parts was an ex master tech at Land Rover Main Line and this is what he told me:


"the BECM and the insrument pack store the millage in the car
either device will write the millage to the other and it will always write the higher mileage
so if the ip has 150 on it and the BECM has 250 the IP will update to 250 and the other way around

another little fun fact is, on the range rover 4.0 4.6, you can tell if the BECM has ever been replaced in the 95-97 range by opening the sunroof. if the roof stops about 3 inches before it is all the way open it has the newer version of the BECM if the window goes all the way it is the older one"

They are definitely dependent upon VIN. Placing the wrong BeCM in the wrong truck will almost certainly cause problems.

They are hard enough to swap when you get the right one.
