P1179 again

So last March I was getting code P1179, Replaced the O2 sensors, and the cats, they were rattling, and it went away. Now I'm getting the code again. After reading some threads I tried replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the air filter, but that didn't fix it. Any other ideas? If it is an O2 sensor again, does anyone know which one spacifically? I don't want to replace them all again.

Thanks,
Ryan

Anyone? She's due for emissions testing, and I just can't afford to take her into the dealership right now if I can't figure this one out.

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan do/did you ever run a K&N?? I might suggest replacing the Air Filter to paper (one more time), cleaning MAFS one more time with eletrical contact cleaner from, then clearing the codes....When I got this CODE 1179 it was always passenger side (which is Bank B, I think).

Thanks for the reply,

I was running a K&N untill I killed the first MAF, then I switched to a regular air filter. I just did an oil change and new air filter last week. I tried a different MAF off of my mom's disco, same year, and cleared the code, and about 6 miles out the same code came back up again. So, passenger side O2 sensors with this code, anyone know if it's the front or rear one? I have one extra O2 sensor I'll try swapping out.

Thanks,
Ryan

Front (or up-stream to be "technical"). The only thing the back O2 sensors do is moniter the Cats...unless a cat has gone bad again?

That code indicates both banks are running rich. Have you checked your fuel pressure? If it's low, it wont atomize and spray. Thats the likely cause for both banks.
