Over the last two weeks I have gotten p1173 code trigger my CEL light 2x.
I have done some research on the forum and there is not a clear consensus of the fix.

First off I replaced all 4 of my 02 Sensors at 73,000 now I'm right at 100,000 miles. Has anyone found a fix for this code? Rover is running fine. Idle is strong MPG is good at about 14 hwy and city combined.

I was wondering if a super slow oil leak from the drivers side rocker cover could short out that O2 over time. I have have heard that hypothesis before.
Also my right rear O2 gets slathered with grease from my front prop shaft greasing .
I know 02's are finicky in our trucks but was hopping I could get more than 25,000 mine out of mine

Here is some copy from my research:

"1173 is another 02 fault"
"P1173 Land Rover Lambda sensor aging tv bank 2Drive cycle C:Signal out of range -"
"1173, Down stream fuel trim malfunction, Bank 2, Front sensor aged- rear HO2s adaption too lean/too rich Bank 2 NAS and EU-3 only

Talk to your mechanic with the version of an 1173 code."

I would rather not throw parts at this but if it means another $75 O2. I'll go for it.

I have this. Did you fix?

My MPG is about 8 from what I can tell so I think I need new O2's?

I know this is old, but I dont see in depth for anything more recent.

i had this on my P38 Range Rover.

I ended up replacing my upper O2 sensors and cleaning the MAF really good. After two rounds of crappy O2 sensors from Napa, I finally got rid of the code. And my mileage went from 8 to 14.

The 4 common triggers for this code are.

1) dirty air filter and MAF
2) low engine temp
3) poor fuel causing injs to have long cycle times
4) plugs to cold or excessive gap.

Also..... wrong wt oil for your region or oil is breaking down and burning off.
Hope this helps.
