Sean...with all due respect, you sound like Obama back in 2008. Your "war zone" theory is naive and unrealistic. New York city wasn't a "war zone" back in 2001 was it! Your notion that Pakistan is a "freindly country" confirms your misguided point of view. Come on man, be happy he's dead and don't sweat the details for gods sake.

You have the right to be wrong though.

Saying Pakistan is a friendly country is like saying Russia or China are friendly countries. It might look good on paper but......

Let me expend here.

Russia in the Georgia conflict and China building a missile designed to sink a Nimitz class carrier. Something tells me the Pentagons definition of "Friendly" might be a bit different than the White House.

Pakistan is hardly a friendly country. The Pakistani ISI created the Taliban, is probably equipping and funding Afghan resistance warlords like Hekmatyar, and appears to be sheltering senior Taliban leadership including Mullah Omar. The Pakistan government is as corrupt and two-faced as they come. I'm glad that the President totally disregarded their sovereignty to get OBL. The Pakistanis certainly wouldn't have gotten it done. I hope we get Zawahiri there, too.

Yes, I am naive on the war zone theory, to think we are not world police and have a no right to go anywhere and kill who we chose without at least trying to notify a country we do have "friendly" relations with. If they are so unfriendly as you say, why haven't we gone in like we did in afghanistan in less than 10 years? Could it be because they are at least putting up the front to appear "friendly". Unrealistic well right again, real events have already proved that. Unfortunatly I do sound like a democrat in 2001 but was it worth a 10 year war in afghanistan to kill a man who has been sitting at home in peacefully in Pakistan for the last 5 years.

So i'll just sit back drink a beer a toast to the fact that he's dead and The fact that it overrides any ethical or legal violations that may or may not have taken place.

Becuase Pakistan has Nukes, think about it for a second.

Did you hear about the arrests today?

And yes, your damn right it was worth it.

Sean, it ain't over yet buddy. It's not about killing one dude. We are fighting a war against a group of people who want to kill or convert you. Hell, we almost took out another one of those bastards today, we barely missed him via drone strike.

Come on man, don't think like Joy Behar...hehe

You're an idiot, Sean. You're trying to recreate The O'reilly Show here on Dweb that was on Wednesday night....but even then your position lost. You should have learned something. Fire up Hulu and dig in for lesson on war.

I know we just stirred up the hornets nest again, we let them settle a bit then give them another good whack wack with the stick, to make it worse the hornets nest is at sombody elses house and they don't want us there whacking it. From this end it just seems like a decade of clusterfucks.
What can we do we aren't supposd to be there and can't use a can of raid, how far do we push it, do we chase them around the neighborhood until a neighbor really gets pissed.

A decade of clusterfucks. Interesting comment. I'd be interested in your geopolitical and military solutions for things that would actually work in the real world.

Meanwhile, I'll keep playing in those clusterfucks you are talking about-you'll notice the biggest threat you've faced from these folks is an asshole trying to blow up his underwear on a plane, right? I suppose that could be from good luck.

Or it could be because people are playing the away game for the past decade and it keeps those that wish you ill more focused on their own survival and disrupted. Since you clearly don't have the fortitude to join us, feel free to keep commenting from the sidelines.

But, the whole world (including Pakistan) knew that we were looking for him "dead or alive" so what did they expect us to do? We sure as hell weren't going to blow his cover by asking them if we could come in and get him.
