the rtf (ready to fly models) can be so detailed to scale its realy amazing, of course made in Japan.
my dads been a model aviator his whole life building giant scale models and competeing in Top Gun model competion.

the new small electrics are amazing- some of the kits are only $40. Of course you have to add some expensive electronics though. They usually run a better than 1:1 power to weight ratio and are SO easy to fly.

I have several electric ducted fan jets already- not impressed yet, but they are getting better. The one I have with a brushless motor hauls ass, but I much prefer the handling of proper prop driven planes.
