Eddie not sure if you got my message but we ended up in Moab for the weekend. Sorry I did not post up earlier, I should have! Anywhoo, looks like you guys had a blast.. We ran Poison Spider sat afternoon but that was about it for the wheeling. SLC guys please invite me along some time. I don't make it over here too often but feel free to email me at andre "at" shoumatoffmedia.com ALso here is a very tough trail (harder than Pritchett they say) called Pinnacle in Price that I would love to run some time. They say body damage is probable though...

ANDRE... dude.. sorry we missed you. Sounds like you were showing on Saturday, which as you found out, was a few days too late. I didn't check my voice mail till this morning. I will certainly keep you in mind in the future. We normally do a run in the spring and fall. I will be entertaining guests a week after Easter Jeep Safari so we need to hook up for that.

FRANK is an ANIMAL...that pic is very impressive. I am sorry I missed out on the really technical stuff... (yea I know, I didn't do WipeOut Hill) I probably would have had a coronary.

Eddie no problem, sorry I missed you too. Was a good time and probably could not have done much wheeling with your guys regardless. Also did you guys know there is a Rover club forming in SLC? Not sure if its your bag but a friend just mentioned it at www.goldrushexpeditions.com

Rover clubs in SLC in my opinion never seem to take off.
there just isnt enough poeple. what i've found is that there are a half a dozen little groups of 4-5 that all seem to do their own thing (within their own little groups). yeah maybe a little cliche-ish but that's what ive seen. and not to throw stone, but i don't see this one getting much beyond that either ( maybe i'm worng, i hope so). Hell, i can't even get waves from most of the rovers i see in SLC, let alone and invite to a wheeling trip...LOL

we've tried Mailing lists etc... but in the end, i find that wei end up wheeling w/ the same few guys.

isn't that the same Correy Shurman that was on this board a few years back that Kyle got into it w/? i think it is....LOL interesting...

Andre, i'd love to hit the west desert w/ you and Kurt. keep me posted when you head out.

Ok, here's what a Super Duper GBR CV looks like when you have the wheel cranked and set it down as gently as you can. Curtis Littlefield broke in the exact same spot with pretty much the exact same tires and set it down as softly as I did. So the point is......nothing is bullet proof.

I get such dirty looks from other rovers in Utah that I go out of my way to wave at people. If my window is open I give them the huge wave. :D

Rover club fiasco seems to makes sense... Pretty funny stuff, we call it "as the brifield turns" with all the crap in the cruiser community..

You know what Marc said is true and probably better anyhow. It's hard to wheel regularly with a large group, 3-5 is pretty good. The goldrush folks are planning to hitup the west desert again the sat after x-giving if anything is interested.

OK guys, before my comments get misconstrued, let me clarify.

first, i think what Corey is doing is great, though i have never met the guy, i love the idea of wheeling on Utah backroads to check out mine and Ghost towns. that's way cool in my book. especially w/ rover folk.

second, the "Clique" thing wasn't meant in the way of "my group is better than yours"
that's just silly. what i meant was that most peoples lives are time limited. and in the limited time they have to play, they tend to play w/ the same small groups of people. why?
i don't know, cause it's easier? i love to hang out w/ new folks, but often my time doesnt permit me too.

and Andre, i'd still like to check out that 4BT
i've been looking at one for a project i'm collecting for... :D
