i'm planning on purchasing soon so if you could do it over again...

would you get a 2002 or a 2003, and why? thanks in advance!

03 because of the bigger motor. If your planning on using it off road get a 04, as it has the CDL (center differential lock) in it and the big motor.

I have the cheapest 2002 SE you will find listed in the "for sale" section on this site if you are interested. 36,000 miles (14000 miles of factory warranty remaining) $21,000.

Get the 2003 or 2004 Disco. I had a 2002 Disco and liked it until my wife bought a 2003 Disco HSE. The 03 motor, brakes, and even suspension is MUCH better. I traded my 2002 in on a brand new 2004 Disco G4. The CDL is really nice on the 2004 but you can add one later if you find an 03 you like. Good luck and have fun Rover shopping!

Thx for all the advice guys; i'm currently looking at some 2003 Ss and SEs...

not 100% sure if i wanna' drop around $30k on a SE or around $25k on a s.

You can probably get a 04' S model new for around 27-28K
