Has anyone seen the new Basecamp? Airstream and Nissan put it together. They run loaded around $27K They look nice in the pamplet. Does the Fleetwood Evolution fair better?

I second and third that, Garrett. The Airstream is the only item I would own with the name "Bambi" that isn't mounted on my wall. Man, those things are just gorgeous.

Funny you should say about the BaseCamp, I just recently looked them up...and fell in love. The style of it is really neat, looks a lot more rugged then some of the other more upscale models. Minus a toilet/shower, which is a big negative for that price IMHO, but still a damn fine trailer. What I heard is they are trying to keep the price under $20k.

This link has some nice photos:

They look nice, the only thing is that the wife wuld like a shower and toilet. The Bambi is awesome, however could you get it into back country? The Basecamp may be better but I wonder what the clearence would be.

It looks pretty neat, but like already noted, it needs a bathroom. Actually, my only real need in a trailer would be bathroom and kitchen. If someone could build something really cool that only addressed those two items, I'd be the first in line :)

I used to really dislike Airstreams, don't really know why, i just didn't like them at all. Then one day, after having been into Rovers for awhile, I saw another Airstream at a campground, and fell in love. Weird, did a complete 180... The jsut seemed to be a perfect match.

So I've been wanting a Bambi myself for awhile now, but it's far down on the priority list. Every so often, I do browse the Airstream site. Saw the Base Camp on it. At first, I thought it'd be a good idea, but after looking at it, not having a bathroom, etc., I decided an Evolution would probably be a better bet, 'least til I could get into a Bambi...

If you go to their site, you can download a brochure on 'em:

lol.... before the latest board revision, I had avatars and signatures turned off. People would make comments about avatars, so I'd have to go look at profiles to see what they were referring to. So, I decided to turn them on.

Then, I started noticing that I didn't have one.... So, I started ponderin'.... don't like myself in photos, the Series is still in the driveway and I didn't want a driveway pic, so, what to do, what to do....

Yeah, I think it works. The South Park version of me. Yeah, that works.

PS: Actually, I made some for the entire family.

Remember Laura? Don't think you met Amanda, my older daughter, but I did her, and Alex and Abby too. It really is eerie how accurate they ended up being.....
