I've seen those photos. It will be really interesting to see the LR3 install.

I have not had the time to install mine, but here is a photo of it installed in another.

Kind of plain w/o all the buttons & knobs, but it does look alright. They have less air controls so that might be adding to the 'plainness'. Do you know what spec that is? The whole front facia is gray on mine.

This guy had a custom mounting plate made in Scottsdale at a place called Soundwerks. He had them repaint it since the pic to match the dash better. They might have a template to go from now.

Tami, how is the glare on yours? I've thought about doing something similar, but I sorta like the double DIN install you posted also, and would think it would be better at reducing glare. Not sure I would be able to see a screen below eye level though with my polarized prescription sunglasses. For sure I can't read the radio display or clock on the current OEM setup.

Glare on the nav screens isn't bad at all (it adjusts to the lighting), but on the entertainment screens, glare makes it hard for me to see sometimes. Dan has less of a hard time with it, because he's taller I guess. I'm going to get protective film with anti-glare. Anyone know if they work or a good kind to get?

Check Nushield and Writeshield. Be careful with the cheapos, they can cause problems with the touchscreen functions (that was learned the hardway).

Um.... imo, that is pretty bad a$$...

So here is my question... I have stock nav.... but I hate that i cant integrate with it (Ipod, HDD, BT)

Can I leave the stock Nav in the top.... and switch out the Radio area, like your and keep heads up nav, and DVD below it? .... that would be ideal!:D :D

Check the Kenwood VMOD. It is a harddrive, BT, Ipod, USB all to your factory. Kenwood also make a unit (the same as what Dan did to Tami's) that has an attaptor that will allow you to add anything and use your existing factory touchscreen.

I know it has been a while but I did say I would post photos when finished, I gave up on trying to get a faceplate and just made my own.
