I just received my June/July issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ADVENTURE magazine.

In the magazine, there is an ad for an event:

LAND ROVER CERTIFIED MUDDY BUDDY

Teams of two take on a six-mile course, alternating between running and mountain biking. Along the way you will encounter obstacles, the infamous MUD PIT and loads of fun! It is being held in 8 major cities - the dates running through October 29, 2006.

I don't recall hearing anything about this event. Apparantly, it was held in Orlando, FL was held on May 13, 2006.

Is anyone here participating in it?

According to the ad, online registration is at www.muddybuddy.com

Best Regards :) Jamie, Blue, and Angel

It's a thought ,but Trey doesn't do mud.

Hey CvC I'll be at Austin City Limits on Sept 15-17
I wont have to wheel but will probably go out for drinks.
Maybe we can get together on night.

Oh, that looks like fun!!! There's one in Richmond!!

I just showed the link to my wife. We're thinking of doing the mini-muddy buddy with each of our kids. My kids *LOVE* getting muddy.. they'd be in heaven!!!

Thanks for the heads up!

Woman, we have a lot going on that month (MRM too:p )....LOL! I might need to take a leave of absence from work for all these rover events! :D

But sure why not, life's short and that LOOKS like good ol' muddy fun! :applause:

LOL- that looks awesome. As hot as it will be in August in Austin, crawling through the mud might be something to look foward to!

Trey and Mel, let us know when you come in and I'll get Brett, Charles
and others to go down and visit ya'll.

Adrian - I will let you know what I am planning on doing.
It would be great to see you guys. It's been awhile since I've seen you.
Missed you on our trip in Jan. and at SCARR.
I was telling someone the other day, we needed to have another old fashion camping trip. :applause:
I was thinking about entering the girls in the Mini Buddy. I know Mckayla would love it.

I'll keep you informed on what the plans are.

I've done a few of those out here in Cali. they are a lot of fun as long as you don't take them too seriously. I've raced it on my Beach cruiser, my CX bike, my XC bike and my DH bike. The cruiser was the best way to go for sure.

I might do the Virginia one with a fellow rover owner here on base. Anybody done one of these before? Not too worried about the physical aspects, just if it would be worth the loooooong drive to Richmond. Thanks guys.

There's going to be one here in SAN HO, tomorrow. I'm thinking of heading out there, 'cause I'm going to participate next year. As soon as I make one buddie to do it with.

I wanted to this one, but all of my freinds wussed out on me.

If I go, I can take pictures, if ya'll want.
