it made my oil light go away

one of my wheeling buddies runs it in his scout that is missing a cam bearing and it hasn't die yet

I wouldn't run it unless you think you're at least 3/4s into the life span of whatever you put it in and are just buying time.

At your mom's
I used it to top of the lower unit on my Johnson 8 horsepower outboard. Aboot 10-20% of the refill.

I'll report any problems (If i get to do any steelheading this season).

Exactly, it's a band aid. It just makes your oil thicker. There is absolutely Zero ZDDP, Zero Boron, Zero Calcium, ect.. in this goo. It is a overpriced oil thickener. If you want thicker oil run a thicker oil. Put in 15w50 or 85w140.

I'm talkin about putting it in my diffs and swivel's. No need for all that high tech shit. I just want to see if it helps make shit smoother. Plus, for me; I'm limited to what they sell on base unless I want to pay 3 or 4 times what your paying.

Thats a different story, if what you got is limited and you need to augment what is available, thats a perfect application get the goo, but as others say, its got no additives worth paying for.

Since oil is a mix of oils, the thinner ones tend to burn off early and some of the heavier ones sludge up. Typically these additives just add back in some top end lightweight oil with some heavy bottom end oil and maybe a detergent.

based on its kinematic viscosity, its just like a coupling compound 'HD' gear oil...just some polyol esters, mineral oil, and petroleum. Thick shit. Not sure I'd pay for it but to each his own. Discoinjapan, please tell us a before an after post.. more drag? much quieter? I bet.

lets all chip in an buy chris st lois one of these:

Just did the diffs. I went 50/50 on the mixture with 90wt, on the drive home I was very impressed with the lack of slack I had in the drive, seems evrything is so much tighter. Well see how it holds up. That stuff IS like mollassis!!

On the bad side.. I just found out I need a new rear diff. I saw one whole tooth missing on one of the pinion gears but very little metal in the old oil. It had to have been done by the PO.
