What does the post-it note on the steering wheel say?

I dig the LED idea; let us see the round ones when you get them.

Bought a pair of red AGT 1157 bulbs, a pair of amber AGT 1157 bulbs, and a pair of white AGT 1156 bulbs.
Two weeks later, the white 1156s haven't arrived yet.
Tried the 1157s in the RRC's taillights (the bulbs are oh so easy to change), despite stock using 1156s (single filament). By wiggling the bulb in the socket, one can make both LED circuits light up.
The results: red bulbs are barely as bright as incandescents. Not too bad, since they are supposed to draw less than 2W. Not sure about reliability. The amber bulbs used behind amber lenses in turn signals are dimmer (not by a whole lot) than stock.
I'll post the photos later; will try to use the red 1157 in D1's brake signal, maybe they fare better.

So, in essence, miracle hasn't happened yet.

The slow boat from china has not yet arrived with my circular panels. People are amazed at the power output of the rectangle panel for the interior.

I think the Classic's taillights are very suitable for this kind of LED lighting:

The Disco taillights, unfortunately, are not. This will be my next attempt:

Mike, these 1156 bulbs are made using leftover non-SMD LEDs. Anytime you see a showerhead like this, you're looking up at the scraps of semiconductor industry.
Fundamentally, the LEDs potted in clear epoxy have the only way to extricate the heat - through the leads, and this ability is dismally low. The SMD LEDs can have conductive cooling off the back of them, and convective - off the surface because they are not potted in epoxy.

The LEDs in 1-5W power range ultimately use convective cooling and heat sinks, like in the bulb shown at the bottom of my earlier post.

pm, pm your email. im at work and dont have time to upload the pictures Amanda just sent. just looking out for you guys...we see all kinds of led kits on bmws, vw/audis, etc that are terrible. almost all of them are the superbrights, ziza, pep boys. a lot of these bulbs are over $10 each and trying to return them costs more than the price of the bulb.
