Alyssa said:It's in the kidney, but keeps blocking the ureter. Since my health is so top notch to start with, I'm used to being in pain & have a much higher tolerance for pain than most, but this is even more than I can cope with and hold down work at the same time. My stone isn't a candidate for any of the wave/zapping therapies, unfortunately. I already have a team of specialists I see regularly for my chronic conditions, so it's not like I've blown this off or just gotten one opinion. Having another surgery is not a pleasant option for me, since I don't heal and tend to develop complications. I've been trying to deal with the pain & hope the stone goes away on its own.
Oh Alyssa! So sorry for you! My last stone (3 weeks ago) was similar to this and ended up having surgery to get it out. It does suck and I like you don't heal well, but I have had the surgery a few times before and it's sad to say that you get "used" to it. I hope that yours goes on its own.
