key stuck in ignition

anyone in discoweb ever have their key stuck in the ignition, truck is in park, anyone have any ideas, help

Usually it's when the shift lever is not being recognized as being actually in park (you may get the P on the dash display (D2) and the red light by the P, but the switch is not recognizing... try 'insisting' it into park a few times or check linkage/switches.

Robert, as Kyle says we need to know what Discovery you have. Is it a D1 or a D2? I have had this problem with a D2.

hello all the problem was that the cdl shifter wasn't ingaged in high, causing the key not to come out, always make sure you pull it hard enough, ha ha ha

remove the lock solinoid on the switch- tumbler
and no moore worries!

Yep - been there. Spent the day pulling the battery cable while troubleshooting other issues until I figured out it was the CDL.
