Found this company that makes a winch bumper for the DII and a pretty nice rear bumper w/ swing away for the DI nad DII. Has anyone tried or heard about this manufacturer? If they are interested, they are willing to trade the prototype bumper for one weeks access to your vehicle. Not a bad trade, IF they are interested. They are based in Georgia.
Thanks,
Chris D.

How do you get in touch with them? I'll take a free bumper, I don't use my truck during the week anyway.

I already got a response from Kennesaw. They are interested in making a "Wincher" bumper for the DI. Cost will be around $380.00 + options.

Joe, Go to the website and e-mail them at the info@k.... address. Tell them that I referred you as the Proto Bumper Guinea Pig Disco I. Kyle Updegrove is the name of the contact there. Best of luck and keep us in the loop.

I know of Kennessaw Mtn Acc. I have seen the rear bumper on a D1. The prototype was very heavy but I think it has been trimmed down. I have also seen the yellow D2 in person.

I called Kyle and left a message asking him if it was true that they were looking for a D1 to use as a prototype for a front bumper. I am in GA not too far from him (about 60 miles) so I might be interested.

There is a reason for the cheap price... crappy workmanship and HORRIBLE customer service. A couple of buddies have swing away tire carrier bumpers on their Nissans and the workmanship was terrible. Each ended up spending about $300 each to have them done properly since the welds were so bad. They also like to charge your card for 2-4 months before you even get your product.
