I didn't read past page 1. That guy sounds like he's 15. That and he's talking trash and taking challenges with some guys girlfriend. She's not even the owner of the RR.

That has got to be one of the dumbest threads I have ever read. All that BS about his jeep and a rover and he backed out. 6 pages that went nowhere. I'm stupid to have read all of it thinking they would finally wheel it off.

It goes like this...

My jeep liberty is the shit, Im challenging a guy with a RR to an off-road challenge.

Rest chime in... Land Rovers are shit, lets make fun of them.

My jeep is broken, I'm not taking the challenge.

A girl i used to fool around with had a top of the line liberty with everything, and it was awful offroad, absolutely awful. A stock d2 with cdl would have no problems with it all.

I vividly recall being unable to drive up a wet patch of grass with maybe 10-15deg incline with her

My wife had a Liberty CRD Limited and it was a piece of shit. It was ok for offroad. We had it a year and it was in the dealership five to six times with a cost of over $1000. After the last EGR valve and turbo hose that was it, it was gone.

Nice. I am beginning to see a few Dwebbers telling the lost guys what it is about! FYI: The D2 belongs in the woods. The CRD gets me back and forth to work, gets my skinny water boat out to the lagoon and back without costing an arm and a leg and the 4 wheel drive will get the boat and trailer out of the mud ramps. It works.

Would I ever take on a Rangie on the trail? NFW. Would the D2 get 575+ miles on twenty gallon tank of fuel? NFW. Two different fits for me...

If you didn't need the towing capacity you could have a TDI Jetta and get 575+ miles for $20 less per tank. Hell, why not get a TDI Jetta and put heavy duty rear springs and tow package on it?;)
