Proud to say he works for me! Great cop excellent SWAT operator and apparently not afraid of cold water. Saved this 19 year old kids life. He was extremely hypothermic and had just gone over a spillway. He had been stuck in the under tow current for almost an hour.

I was standing on top of the spillway cat walk wondering how the hell he got down there and how the hell I was going to get him back up:ack:

The river that runs through our fair city has several small dams on it. In the warmer months people float it from River Bend Park to Drake Park. This guy went a little to far and couldn't escape the current. The water is still very cold from all the snow melt and he didn't have any strenght left. He couldn't even stand when we got him out and was blue.

Good luck with the reserve deputy gig. Thats how I started.

testing for Reno. My dad retired from there over 6 years ago, but he was on SWAT for many years (was a sniper for too, actually) and my brother is with them now. Hopefully I will be #3!

Boise has a great PD and SO. I'll more than likely finish my career here. To many years invested to leave now. Plus I think I have the best gig in the entire agency.

I agree. It would be hard to leave after so many years. Plus, you have a good gig. I absolutely love the area in and around Bend. I have relatives in Sun River and LaPine. They wouldn't move if you paid them.
