But dude, you really need to get rid of the bling wheels and running boards -- you would have a real nice on-road/off-road rig pretty quickly if you just did that! The Rover would respect you so much more it would just walk through obstacles and never break down.

Well what I really want to do is powdercoat the wheels black. I think that would be soo sweet.
And as for the side steps, I would really like the RockRover rock sliders, but after this they'll have to wait a while.

Great looking truck, you just need a second set of wheels and tires for off road- mind you changing wheels does become a real pain after a while. I have a similar lift and was considering extended brake lines- but what about the ABS wires? I have also just ordered a set of poly bump stops, does anyone have any first hand experiance with these. Suspension travel currently limited by OME shocks but before dealing with shock mounts or longer shocks i wanted to address the brake line and ABS.

Its my dad's company shop. I work there in the summer and I'm tight with the guys that work there (Jonsey and Al). They helped me through the whole thing and like I said, we had it done in about 10 hours. I just wish we had a lift, it would have been soo much easier. Oh well, it was fun and turned out great. I am so glas I did it. And the heaters do work great, it was pleanty warm in our ~34 degree weather, and soo nice when we opend the doors:p

i kinda like the chrome rims with big tires.

know what you mean... I did my lift job in my driveway with two axle stands and a cheap floor jack that really wasn't tall enough after the lift was done...

Haha, that sucks. I had 6 jack stands and a good floor jack but it was still prety tough.. I bet yours was super hard. But at least you did it and its all working I assume!

I used the 781s in the rear and 761s in the front. I do not know the exact change at the moment but I can measure it later today. I know that the rear is about one inch taller than the front, thats why I'm puting spacers in the fron on Thursday.

Keep the wheels and tires, use them for on road use. Get some black steelies and big MTR's:victory:

Ditch the steps and the spoiler too. Or they'll hang up/be dragged off the first time you hit a (reasonable) trail.:ack:

Fit out your air tank like in the other post.:applause:

Keep photos of how clean it was underneath and how easy it was to work on it as a result - it'll never be the same again............:rofl:

Like I said about the side steps, I'm in the process of taking them off.. a very slow process. I would like to make my own sliders some day, they wouldnt be that hard. But as you can see in the pictures I already took the rear mudplaps off, and I'll take the front ones off on Thursday.
And what do you mean about the spoiler? the part that hangs down? I was also looking at the rear Rock Rover bumper if thats what your talking about.
And of corse I'll fit the tank like etcatsmeat's! that things awsome!!
