Hi,

This is my 01'DII SE7 with dual climate control and even when I turn it off, it keeps flowing air...is this normal? What could be the problem?

i have the same issue. i think i once read on here that someone thought a small rock or pebble was holding a gate open that was supposed to seal when off. Who knows.

Anyone care to shed some light?

the a/c will always allow air tho come in but only in moderation. you can limit this by turning on a/c double check that the econo feature is not on. if it is turn it of by turning on a/c and the recycle function. this should stop most if not all air flow coming in when it is off.

Every vehicle I've ever had has done this, maybe the manufactues think their cars are sealed off enough that without the air flow we'll sufficate?!?!?!?!?

Go through one deep water pit and you'll learn fast enough that the door seals arent that tight!

Sorry, southern sarcasm doesn't transfer onto message boards very well ;)
And trust me, 92 Dakota went a month of blowing fuses everytime it rained because rain ran down the windows, into the door skin and would occassionally catch badly wired window motors which weren't waterproofed well enough.

The best way to seal it up is...
Hit the recirculating air button
Hit econ button
Then you can cycle the blower to the off(no bar) position
Wait a second for the system to do it's thing then hit the power off button.

That is the only way to shut'er down
