How I spent my day...

Wait.. your house drops to 41 at night? I've always thought the energy required to get the house back up to "normal" temp would negate the ability to save money.

The house my buddies and I rent has a terribly high electric bill. Someone school me on the benefits of one of these!

The thermostat goes to 41 the house never falls far.

Daniel - I forgot you had that 90! How far along are you?

Over the last 5-days I have:
Sewer capped the front diff
Put in HD axles/CV's
Installed caster corrected swivel balls
New o-rings in the front ARB
Installed a new starter
Sewer capped the rear diff
New o-rings in the rear ARB
New brake pads
Installed a new fuel pump (the other one installed at the Cove was laying in the bottom of the tank, lol)
New aluminum gas tank skid

I charged up the battery and she started right up and purred like a fuzzy little kitten.

Looking for tires and a top now. Still a few other things to do yet also, but it now runs and drives again. It's just too cold to drive it.

just a heads up, using waste oil can be a huge violation if you're burning it at your business.

Waste oil as in off-spec, or used engine oil?

Got a regulatory citation?

Used oil is typically not-hazardous, non-regulated. I'm not gonna say that Oregon doesn't have some goofy laws that prohibit it, but it's a pretty common use and preferred to some other methods of disposal.

I have a 5 burner natural gas furnace in my shop that gets turned to 40 degrees at night. I also have two Mr. Heater Buddy Pro's that I believe are adjustable from 75k to 125k BTU. I have a 100 pound propane tank that lasts for a long time. I just use them to heat the shop up to temp in the morning, but for the money I love those things. I got one used for $100 and I think the other one new for $160. They are very efficient too - never set off any of my detectors. If you can find one of Buddy Pro's definitely consider picking on up. Can't beat them for the money.
