I am of the opinion that a woman will not be able to win the Presidency - America is not ready for that...

Hu? Is this the way people still think? I thought we voted for people based on character, not on sex, race, color, or religion.

As much as you would want to believe that, it just won't be true for a while... I believe a lot of this country still has prejudices that would influence their vote.. I mean, four of the most popular candidates all have a characteristic that will most likely make people second guess before voting on them:

Dems-
Clinton: Female
Obama: African American

Repubs-
Rice: Female African American
Romney: Mormon

I personally would like to see them actually run, just so we can put the theory as to what the countries beliefs are to the test.

Not sure he is that far right. It looks as though he still supports a few socialist programmes.

I don't think you are talking about the same Michael Savage then!

And for AntiChrist: Give an example of what you mean by "bad". Are these two people racist? Are they hateful? What?

I think I am - He doesn't seem to have any problems with the prescription drug programme or medicare - if his website are anything to go by and I don't see anything on his site about the billions of dollars we are wasting in farm subsidies all socialist programmes.

I'd like to see the ideas of Ron Paul carried forward.

Paul returned to Congress in 1996. He was again elected as a Republican, but against the wishes of the party leadership, which had backed Paul's primary opponent, the incumbent Democratic representative who had switched party affiliation.

No, look at what the presidency did to Eisenhower... Generals don't make good politicians. A genious in one field does not a genious make in another.

I guess, I do love that guy though!

I heard him talk about the farm subsidies issue just the other day -- he hates it. Thinks that it was the one major thing that Regan flopped on.

As far as the drugs... he is generally against drugs and big pharmacy companies etc... Talks about it all the time.

I can't think of one time when I have heard him talk about Social Security or Medicare in a good light.

Strongest republican candidates I think would be McCain, Mitt Romney and Giuliani... possibly Rice, but I think she knows it would be tough for her to win.

Leading candidates for Dems... Obama, Clinton and possibly Kerry again...

Maybe Edwards??

I dunno! But I would listen to what she had to say. Personally, I did pretty well under the first Clinton administration. Gas was cheap, interest rates at a all time low and my 401K made a ton of money. How much did that have to do with how was in the oval office, probably none... but at the time my biggest worry in Washington was who was getting blown, not blown up.

Personally, right now I like McCain. But really, what I want is a moderate, either Rep or Dem. I'm fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. I'm sick of Bible thumping Conservatives talking about gay marriage and abortions, just as much as I'm sick of bleeding heart liberals talking about gay marriage and abortions.
