Headlights

I just bought a 97 and noticed that it doesn't have the cool driving lights that my 95 did.

When you turn on the parking lights in the 95 the headlights would light up very faintly and I liked that a lot.

Were the 97's not equipped this way, or do i have some obscure bulbs burnt out somewhere?

It's an SE7, so it should have all the options (has fog lights front and rear)

thanks!

You have them too.

I bet the bulbs are burned out. Most are.

The Parking light bulbs are under the regular bulb, you can get them out without taking the headlight out, but you just pull the headlight out....So thats easier.

They are 194 bulbs.

You shouldn't drive with only parking lights on. If it's dim enough for any lights, it should be headlights on.
Parking lights are called that for a reason.

Keep your headlights on and your ABS working. ;)

OK OK.

I thought it was funny.

Do you really want to subject yourself to that again?

You might need a therapy session....LOL

Is it too soon to make jokes about it? :)
It felt ok. :D

Ironically, If I remember, the ABS dash light is the same bulb that fits the Parking lights.

So to avoid a verbal beatdown. I agree, Use your headlights at night. I just wanted to be funny.

As a side note, the reason that Rover did it that way was for Daytime Running Light Mandatory Canada.
At least thats what Rover told me.

Ok,
If they were meant to be daytime running lights, wouldn't they just come on when the vehicle is started, like all the other cars out there with Daytime lights. Instead you have to select "parking" lights to turn them on. Sounds like the monkeys are back.

Rover Politics, its getting pretty shady around here.

City lights sounds like a better explanation to me.

Its just what they told me. Of course, they figured that out by D2.
