it can...as its not an exhaust leak to begin with...mine did the exact same thingsven95lwb said:Exhaust leak has nothing to do with headgaskets.
water does not pass around each cylinder in the head gasket. if it blew on one of the areas that does not contain a water passage it would make a really loud ticking/puffing sound (Like mine did) and out of the blown spot exhaust gasses would be coming out. Like I said it is and it isnt an exhaust leak cause its leaking the exhaust, just out of the headgasket.sven95lwb said:Maybe Im misreading the original question. An "exhaust leak" (the kind you hear) would not be a headgasket but typically an exhaust manifold gasket, or something further down the exhaust path.
Burning coolant (white smoke in the exhaust) could be caused by a headgasket. But this isnt an "exhaust leak".

I just can't remove the 8 bolts holding the head cover to the engine. Any ideas how to remove the bolts?
Ok, I have all of that. I tried with the breaker bar, torque wrench and air tools, but separate. I haven't tried with the pipe. Is that for extra leverage? Man, what's the torque on that?:banghead:Morpheus said:yes...a good 1/2 drive ratchet or breaker bar, a long (3') piece of pipe, and a good solid socket, a impact socket worked for me
Not yet.Now I am the Master!
You are probably thinking of the rocker cover.Chris-St Louis said:Head Cover? Are we talking the same thing?
