I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision.

I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up.
She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them". I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi?
I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her.

Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her.
I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch.

Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from Pep Boys and try to repair it myself?

take it in to the body shop and get an estimate. Can't hurt to find out how much they will charge. then if you think it is to much then try doing it yourself. You know anybody that does it for a living? Maybe they can help you or give advice.

If the first part of your post is true then, ya, she's hiding something.. might not be cheating on you but, sounds like she is certainly up to something.. I hope that you were kidding though..

Man, I am so sorry to hear that. Back when I lived in Ohio, I went through the same thing. It kept me up at night, always checking up on things, debating what to do, checking and rechecking to see if my suspicions were confirmed. Finally, the agony was literally killing me so I summoned the courage to approach the problem head-on. I delicately probed with a dremmel tool to see how extensive the rust really was. Turned out to not be too bad so I just ground it away and repainted.

Whatever you choose to do, know in your heart that we are here for you.

Yeah, if the first part were true, time to enter the call forwarding code on her cell phone the next time you get a few seconds alone with it.

Also, get to know redial and *69 on your home phone.

If you are on her cell phone account, you may want to call them and request a copy of the prior phone records be faxed to your office also.

As far as the rust is concerned, I read on another post that foam and black paint works wonders. Of course since your Defender is white you may want to use white paint.

I'm completely against the use of unknowing call forwarding on someone else's cell phone.

In no way do I support the use of redial or *69 without first exhausting all means to talk it out first with her and her friends.

I never said that you should request copies of her phone record.

Actually, I truly believe that the use of call forwarding on her cell phone is the correct course of action, and I thoroughly support your actions in doing so.

I've actually used redial and *69 in the past and think it is only prudent that we do so now to stop any sort of potential harm that could be caused otherwise.

Requesting copies of her phone record is not only the right thing to do, but is downright constitutional.

I honestly think, and the american people agree, that call forwarding is morally wrong, and is a corruption that this country can not bear. I actually did recommend it before I recommended against it.

I've never once recommended that the use of redial and *69 should be used in this case. What I said, rather, is that for our sake not using redial and *69 would be a close approximation to giving in to those that would cheat on us and would become an abomination of what we all believe to be true about the use of redial and *69, and as such we should all stop using redial and *69............ unless of course you think we should keep using them and then I agree.

The phone records of another human being are falsely being presented by her and her supporting friends. These records of atrocity have been allowed to proliferate and to eat away at the very core of her administration. If you don't ask for them you will be forever haunted about the disappearance of the rust from your bumper. What I want to know is, was the rust already there before she began to cheat, or did the rust appear since? And why wasn't the rust guarded sooner, even though you only now found the rust.
