Just looking for some input from those who know something about golf carts. Looking to pick one up in the next few months; 48 volt one. They seem pretty simple but figured I'd throw this out here in case I am missing smth. Looking at used ones w rear bench seat.

Club Car. If you're feeling up to it, travel to Augusta, GA and order it on the spot.

Please tell me you're going to use it for actual golf...

People can't stop driving those things around here. It's as if you have to drive a lifted golf cart on custom wheels or you aren't a member of some damned club that doesn't exist.

Hit Craigslist. Get a used Mule or similar, or a used golf cart and call it a day. I don't believe you'll get anything worth paying $3,000 for with $3,000 unless it's used.

Cheers,

Kennith

I'm an EZ-GO fan, just make sure the batteries are good and you shouldn't have too many problems.(worked at a golf club for over 10 years and we had very little problems with our fleets of EZ-GO)

One of the guys I work with at DSS in WV was talking about selling one of his. If you want to know more, shoot me a message. I am headed out of town tomorrow for a bit, but can get in touch with him. He lives in Winchester I think.

There are A LOT of golf cart scams on CL. Guess its lucrative for them.

Good batteries, you dont want to spend 600-1000 on new batteries a month after you buy it.

Every now and again you come across an idiot on Craigslist.

When shopping around there, just pick up a burner phone and e-mail address. That way you can check to see if something is legit, just in case.

I saw a slightly damaged 88" display the other day, with speakers that screamed when the thing was on, or so I was told, for around $400. Figured it was a scam, but for that amount of money I could actually use it, so I used the phone and another e-mail.

Yup. It was a scam to get you to hit one of those penny auction sites. Still, I've got some pretty crazy deals from people who don't know what's up.

I can't figure that out. If you're capable of posting a Craigslist advertisement, you're clearly capable of researching prices at least on Ebay.

Cheers,

Kennith

Every now and then? If I had a dollar for every time I saw a D1 listed as a D2, a Discovery listed as a Range Rover, a seller who can't upload images or takes awful photos, a listing that starts off "Great condition everything works" and then lists all the stuff that doesn't work, or a P38 sitting on bump stops with a $4,000 asking price, I could buy a golf cart.
