Gear selector shaft for D2 transmission

I managed to shear off the rusted on nut when replacing my XYZ switch. Does anyone have a junk gearbox because this part is unobtainium from Land Rover...?

Thanks. It seems as though you drop the transmission pan and remove the valve block. Then you drift out the roll pin and it slides out

Hi all,
Will Tillery agreed to send me this part but then took offense to me for asking for a photo of it after I paid him. As he has now backed out of the transaction I am looking again for a replacement. Please can anyone help me with finding one in a professional manner?

For the record I did advise this customer I could not assist after a payment was made and the transaction demands were changed on his end. A refund was issued immediately.

I can only provide what I promise and stand by what I deliver. That is how I have been in business for over 20 years.


This was not a home run transaction. It required quite a bit of work to get to the part he posted.

Will, be honest here. Changing transaction demands? All I asked for was a photo of the part once you had removed it, and you responded that this was a huge insult and cancelled the deal.

Please refund me the money I paid as I am still waiting.

Sounds like Will went above and beyond by taking a part apart to get the part you needed. He’s been a stand up guy and parts supplier with amazing service in our community for so long. Not sure why you would need to question him about anything.

I am confused as well. I simply asked him for a photo of the part once he had removed it and then he asked me to call him. He then went off on me with a raised voice saying that I had insulted his professionalism and that he now refused to sell me the part. Weird and not how I would describe amazing service...

I stand by my statement. I hope you have success finding the part you need. Your posts and story on here only validate my decision to refund immediately and abort the transaction. I can't imagine how much drama you would stir up once you received it.

Thank you, I have bought the part from another vendor, with a photo and without the histrionics. My posts were only in response to your strange behavior in wanting to cancel the transaction when all I asked for a photo of the item...
