G4 Challenge

This is only the second G4 Challenge. It is supposed to be much more off-road oriented for 2006 after so many complaints about the last one. It should pretty good this time around. BUT, there is no US person in this one...So move to one of the above countries and become a legal resident, and there ya go!

hardly. Camel Trophy is VASTLY different than the G4 and hopefully is not considered a replacement. i suppose it is kinder, gentler Camel Trophy.

What about the TREK events? We met the guy who schedules/arranges/plans them when we did a RR event in Northern Virginia....he actually told us that they are the only 'real' LR off-road event left.....Not sure if you can apply for them though.....



Otherwise, I say GO for it! I actually told my husband to apply b/c he is very physically athletic and could do the other events (I don't swim!)......would be fun to have someone we 'know' in it!

The TReK event is strickly an internal LR employee event with the contenders picked from each dealership.

The G4 event is one long living pouser infomercial that completely pushes aside the heritage of the vehicles. They are just fancy people and bike movers. It just so happens that they are using Rovers. Not like anything with 4WD couldnt serve the same funtion.
