My truck has recently begun to smell like fuel full time, both in front of the vehicle and in the rear. It's pretty clear in the rear that some of the hoses need to be replaced, but I can't figure out the front. Perhaps the EVAP cannister?

For the rear, I can find most of the part numbers, but I cannot locate the size and/or part number for this little hose connecting the filler neck to the tank. This is a 98 AEL D1. Any ideas?

For the front, where should I look for fuel vapors? The top end was redone about 1,000 miles ago so im very confident its not a leaky injector. Will the EVAP cannister leak? Is there a known hose or two prone to breaking up front?

I replaced the 3/4 vent hose and I think the odor got worse. I did that with the tank out and I could not find any issues with the tank or any of the the vent lines. I’m waiting for the new fuel pump seal to arrive. I also reached out to LR and confirmed the gas tank recall work was done,

In addition to some comments in the post I made about this, I did a web search and it seems the fuel tank seal and clogs / breaks in the evap system do happen. However, that 3/4 hose is the most common issue I have found.

If the problem persists after changing the tank seal I am going to see if the charcoal canister is clogged. I am also considering putting a vented gas cap on temporarily to see if that changes anything. I believe that would help indicate a clog.

Also of note, this D1 has fuel staining under the fuel fill door like someone overfilled it repeatedly many times. I haven’t noticed an overfill issue the few times I have put fuel in it. I am wondering if that is related.
