Last week I re-did my valley gasket. 1- I was bored and 2- needed to retighten my rear gasket holder-downer thingy. While I was in there, I puller the fuel rail out and inspected my injectors. I had new o-rings on hand to replace if needed. I noticed a couple of things. First, almost all of my injectors could be rotated around completely while seated. Second, on the very bottom of the injectors there is a small orange bakelite looking disc thing that on half of them was cracked or missing.

My guess is that the fact that they are easily rotated means there may be a vacuum leak.

What is the purpose for the discs though? Are they super important?

End result of last weeks work was I just buttoned it all back up and left it alone.
