Very. I have several. One for work, one in the wife's car and a couple with the M3 heads on my varmint rifles.
I mostly use the rechargeable 18650 batteries except for the ones I use for work and in wify's car, I use cr123's in those.
Here is their sales site.

So, the 18650's are better than the cr123?
And what bulb do I want?
I started this out because my father in law needs one. I think I better build myself something too, for safety's sake.

18650 batteries are 3.6 vdc with more milliamp hours. That means they last longer. They are rechargeable whereas it is hard to find cr123 batteries that are rechargeable. If you can, a lot of flashlight mfg's say "don't use them".
Maybe this in a single mode. I hate cycling through different settings, i just want bright.

It'll run off of 2 123 btteries or one 18650 battery. It'll eat the 123's up and generate heat when it does. The 18650 will last a lot longer.

This light is really nice. One button on/off plenty bright and has a zoom. You can also get the rechargeable battery pack. Thing I like the most is the hat clip. It comes in handy when your wearing a hat and have your hands full. Like when your using you're fleshlight in the dark. Like Jimmy.

That's my favorite flashlight. Made in the USA, too.

I showed up early at the place they were putting up the first display when the original two LED model was released around 18 years ago to get my paws on it. I was that excited. It finally broke on one of my trips, but I think I got 12 years or so of torture out of it.

It's on a display shelf now, but I'm thinking about framing the thing. It saved my ass a few times.

I have one of the newer models, as well. They've changed the lanyard to a flexible material rather than the original "climbing colored" 550 cord, and it includes that little rubber sleeve to cover the bezel (which is clear, so no more electrical tape needed), as well as two more LEDS.

It ain't the brightest thing in the world, but it's not pretending to be; and you can get batteries anywhere. Now that it's got the sleeve, you can just slip that off and stand it up for a little ambient light.

I wish they'd bring back the original clear blue one, just for fun.

Cheers,

Kennith

I converted my old halogen Surefire and 3 cell Maglite to LED with Malkoff Devices' products. Really good stuff. The Maglite is now absolutely fucking amazing.

Around $25 dollars Kenny. Focus my friend.

What is meant by "around"? It's within $10.

I don't see the point of sweating ten bucks on something that exists solely to function immediately and flawlessly whenever desired; certainly not something you'll be stuck with for years.

If that's not a persuasive argument, just grab an Eveready for a couple of bucks and be done with it.

Of course, the Trek Light might not meet one's requirements. It's not super bright, and it's not fashionable. If that's a problem, obviously it's not a good choice.

Cheers,

Kennith

I thought about framing a lot of things. A flashlight has never been one of them.

Figured I might put the flashlight next to one of the items I was carrying when it finally gave up. Both have played important parts in some interesting times. So, why not frame it?

It's just as much of a memory as any photograph, right? I think it's even better than a photograph.

Cheers,

Kennith
