I keep seeing flares up for sale....Are all of you DII boys following the West Coast lead and ditching the flares?

Let's see some pictures of those that have....

I still can't decide whether or not to ditch my eye brows.

I dumped mine. Looks so much better.

I don't have pictures though. I'll try to post some tomorrow.

I just removed mine.
Not a hard job but it was time consuming. I got a large spray bottle of GooGone and used that. It was citrus based so it didn't hurt the paint. I suggest you remove them SLOWLY so as much of the adhesive comes off with the flare. Go slow and have patience the reward is great!

That's what I was thinking. My fenders would probably be a dinged up mess were the plastic not forming the "safety barrier"

so i take it that they are held on with 3m tape. I might take mine off and have them line xd and put them back on when they start to fade

I still think it looks better with. Must be a West Coast thing...

Also, they do provide some kind of protection...for the rig! ;)

no doubt about the protection, albeit a minor trade off in my opinion. if i'm gonna scrape something more than likely it's gonna hit more than just the fender flare anyway. besides, i thought rovers looked better scratched?

i mean c'mon, you have these great trail rigs, and there shit that's only held on with tape?

peel 'em off.

okay, i'll stop posting pics of my truck

i do think that the removal looks way better on the lighter colors though. something about the extreme contrast.

by the way, how many of you that still have them on have noticed how badly they've faded? mine were actually replaced one time by the dealer because of that problem (not even a year old at the time).
