engine surges?

I have a 94 disco and a couple of weeks ago the engine started to surge sporatically. It feels like I have taking my foot off the clutch too quickly and then pressed the accelorator. I just recently went over 150,000 miles; does anyone have any ideas about what this could be.

Spark plugs?

Shitty gas?

Fuel filter?

Dirty air filter?

Fuel pump?

Old plug wires?

Dirty fuel injectors?

Does it do it all the time or sometimes? How long has it been doing it?

when mine was doing that it was the alternator. But it was the exact same symptoms, and went on for weeks before it started showing the battery wasn't charging.
