Engine Mounts shot?

I would say try to jack up the motor a bit. On mine, I could see where the fan had hit the shroud a bit, and when we lifted the motor a bit you could see the rubber separated from the metal on the mount.

Is it a D2? Have the mounts ever been replaced? Answer 'yes' and 'no' respectively and I'll almost guarantee you that they are shot.

Also, has the fan rubbed the top of the shroud? If so, then you need new mounts.

On my 2003 it was quite obvious. They had split in two, and one of the mounts was pressed up against the steering shaft, making it bind. Quite scary going around a corner and the wheel not coming back in the normal way.

Looks like they are 29.95 at rovahfarm

Im pretty sure they have never been replaced. I should have done it last year when I dropped the new motor in but for some reason I said fuck it.
