Every piece of property I've bought has stated I only owned "Plow depth"

Curious.... I four decades of appraising real estate, I've read thousands of deeds and never once seen that term. How could one dig a basement foundation or drill a well? English common law dictated that one owned to the center of the earth and to the heavens above one's property, modified by modern concepts such mineral and air rights. I've appraised hundreds of air easements, mostly for the Navy, but also airports from one end of the state to the other. Even a pumped aquifer storage easement 600' under an airport.... Maybe all the mineral rights in your neck of the woods were purchased a century or more ago.

The hexakopter is very fast. You could shoot at it only if you had time to take aim. There is one video where it can flip end to end and stay level at the same time. I have seen them in person and the lipo batteries give plenty of power and speed with it's brushless motors. Gyroscopes keep it in place even with high winds. Throw GPS into the mix and you're looking at one hell of a machine. Here is one video I found but not the one I was looking for.

I did not associate the video with a MikroKopter, but now that you pointed it out I hear the exact buzz.

Those things are really BADASS. I am sure you can do a lot in about 30 minutes but when they get flight times up, farther reception, larger payloads and homing when batteries are low, they will be hard to deal with (as if not already).

Absolutely awesome.

The imminent danger thing would be a tough arguing point for firing at a drone, no matter what state.
Now it went up to my neighbors' kid shooting something out of his bedroom window. My wife inquired about the whereabouts of the Sig and the ammo.

Huh? So this drone, flew up to your neighbors kind who was first peeping over the fence but then was shooting something out of his window?

Maybe this drone is your friend. I'd advise against shooting the kid.

What does "shooting something" mean?

Not so sure those blades are going to harm you much. Guy in video does even seem slightly worried about them and spares seem common. But I have no idea.

Those blades will take a chuck of your finger off down to the bone. My SAITO .56 will take a finger completely off. I've seen accidents first hand. Any good AMA field will have first aid kits with the necessary tools to stop bleeding, even small tourniquets.

An advanced game of pinata does sound like fun though, assuming you also have time to grab a helmet.

Well I suspect we will eventually see a video of that flugtest dude less some flesh. He did not seem worried at all about the blades.

Would a radio jamming device make one drop out of the air??
And how legal is one if used on your personal property?

The radios use a 2.4ghz ISM band, I'll let you do the research on that one. It's my understanding it would be pretty hard to run down the exact band. I don't know enough about Radio spectrum's to comment further.

You can really fly them anywhere as long as you're a good pilot and won't cause damage to humans, animals or personal property. It's always advised you fly in an open field away from power lines. Parks and local soccer fields are a good place to start. An AMA membership actually provides more coverage on top of your current home owners coverage. I can see the FAA getting pissed if you fly through the airspace (particularly final approach) of Regional and International airports. This is a no brainer and goes without saying.

Also, ff you have a camera you might fall under a peeping tom law of some sort.

I would say it is illegal for a civilian to jam any comms or interfere with cell, radio, etc. communications in U.S. territories. There are some weaker (when compared to military grade) items that work fairly well when it comes to jamming cell signal for example. Some are sold through the link below. For example, I 'heard' that the Albatross model sold on that site works ok, but has a very limited jamming radius (about 5m). It does jam cell and satellite signals though; vehicle satellite radio cuts off when the device is turned on.

I live on a 40 acre horse farm and if I see one of those drones flying over my property it will be open season, shoot them boys.
