i did the d90 front brake upgrade and now the brake pedal is too soft. i wanted to put the d90 m/c in to compensate for the larger d90 calipers so i will get a harder pedal.

i have bled the system as good as it can be, the truck stops on a dime, but imho the m/c is too small and the pedal could be stiffer.

so before i buy the d90 m/c, i was hoping someone could confirm that it will work with minimal mods.

thx

I had D90 calipers on my D1, pedal was firm and felt normal compared to the previous calibers. I don't think its the m/c.

The pedal is firm, but it's alot further down than before. When you add the bigger calipers with more fluid, it will take more travel from the smaller m/c. The d90 should have a bigger m/c to compesate for this. I don't want to buy it to find out it won't fit...

I have not myself, but they look very similar (except for the reservoir of course). I imagine they would be the same bore but again I am just guessing here, no actual experience. If they are the same bore it probably won't make a difference.

your right, if they are the same bore it would be a waist, but im betting that the d90 has a bigger bore due to the larger calipers...

By "you" I mean it's unique to you. I don't think that you need to switch to a D90 MC per se, maybe just a properly functioning disco1 MC.

Or maybe your ape brain and shit hooks for hands were not sophisticated enough do a simple brake swap and now you can't figure out what you did wrong.

I'm not sure, perhaps a little of each.
