Turning 21 takes all the fun out of going to a bar.....

Yes, but the nice police officer is much nicer to you when you get your first DUI if you're over 21 :D

Kimber Tactical Pro II .45 Don't leave home without it.
:patriot: Hell yeah. 4" Kimber is where it's at. I only drag mine out for backpacking trips though. I can't imagine carrying that thing on a daily basis. 1911s are big beasts for daily duty IMO.

I don't carry and I have no desire to get a permit...it just screams to a potential future socialistic government that they should come knock on my door if there were ever a weapons snatch. I have to make this post quick so I can finish making my new tin foil hat.

But when I go offroading, camping, on a road trip, and sometimes hiking I will usually bring along my .38 off-duty. I wish it were one of the new lightweight ones though. Dawn's mom just got one and its pretty nice.

Glad to hear there are some D webers who have decided to brake away from the sheepole and arm them self's rather then count on there government to protect them and there family.

I always carry my subcompact XD9, (locked and loaded) unless it is illegal to do so.

The thing about carrying a concealed firearm, for me, is that most of the time you need it to defend yourself, it's either overkill, or your attacker already has a gun pointed at you, in which case it's likely too late. In nearly any situation where firearms are NOT involved, all I really need is a stick, and I'm a force to be reckoned with. In many circumstances, my wits, fists, tattoos, and loud voice are enough.

If I COULD carry, legally, I probably would, if only to stop something awful from happening to someone ELSE. I do bring my XD 40 with me on longer trips in the truck though, you just never know.

I carry a jensen 25 auto with the serial numbers filed off :D

Kidding of course, I would be better off throwing one of those than shooting it.

Yes full-auto M-4 commando with a noveski pig on the end.

LOL, I tried to swap a bunch of labor for a recently converted-to-civilian-use M-4. I had him on the hook until he said that my wife would kill him with it if we were to barter for it!

While having a firearm is no guarantee of even a close to fair fight, it does give one a chance to go out fighting instead of laying down and taking a bullet to the back of the head (I want to go out fighting with a grimace, not whimpering into the dirt). The time I slid my O/U 12 ga skeet gun out from behind the seat of my truck and pointed it at a guy who had appeared out of nowhere was clearly the most dramatic example of the deterrent effect I could ever have encountered! Hey, I'd been shooting earlier that day and had to go back to work for a few hours!

The question should be "who does not carry a firearm". I used to have one with me all the time, now I limit it to camping trips etc. I have run into alot of strange people here in the mountains, but they were probably thinking the same thing.
