$36 to me, even if it is $10 more then Rover feels the part is worth, isn't worth running around for.

I dont buy anything from the dealer here in town. They mark up way more then that.
The real reason is I used to work there, and I'm not convinced I could not get into a fight. :)

I guess the point I'm getting @ Chris is they don't want me in there. They have no walk up parts counter, & have to call the Parts Manager out of the back if you need anything. They're the only game in town & they know it, & charge accordingly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm Capatilist to the core, they got it, I need it, so I buy it. Don't mean I have to like it. :D

In all fairness the parts guys are all plesant to deal with, it's just having to get past all the people with a turd on their upper lip just to get to them.

Signs all over the place advertising their $115.00/hr labor rate, Cutter & Buck golf shirts w/ green ovals selling for over a Franklin.

Needed a spare key, was told only option was $175.00 remote key PLUS $115.00 to program it! Asked them to cut me a DI key blank off my remote, told me it wouldn't fit & didn't have the "chip"

Went to a key kiosk & got 2 for $9.00, work fine.

It's just sad :(

$36 today, now, back on the road,done..... $19+shipping,Few days wait..

But, you saved $17 while your car sat.

Back on the road and a cup of coffee...... I've been treated worse.

Chris, is the glass half full? Saving $17 on a part that may be going bad but not totally left you stranded is still better in my book than paying 2x and lining the pockets of the dealer that turns up his nose at me when I drive up in my six-year-old orphan D1.

Now, if I was on the side of the road and needed the part, I would gladly pay the dealer $100 just to get back on the road.

Small idler pulley is available from NAPA. Part #38018 was about 8 bucks. Bolted right on. D1 idler is available, they were able to cross the Dayco #89006. D2 tensioner pulley is not. Carquest had one for $23, I'llpost the number later.
